- I have a few major obsessions: working out,travelling,happy hours,surfing,people watching,laughing & dinner parties with good food,friends ∧ wine.The underlying thought that is always in my head? “What am I going to wear to all of these passions?”A little background,I grew up outside of Philly.My mom and I spent most weekends shopping together.College was heaven for me,having 5 female roommates to share clothes,shoes &accessories with. After college,I moved to DC and had access to the best shopping,from Nordstrom to the fabu unknown vintage stop in my neighborhood.Fast forward to life as I know it now-living in a small town (gasp!).Whoever said living in a small town has many advantages is not a fashionista! …and so “Bargainista In The 'Burbs” was born.This blog is about: *how to find out what’s hot even if the majority of the people on the street are wearing holiday sweaters (seriously)*using what you already have in your closet in ways you have never imagined*where to shop in small towns like mine*amazing resources online that you should be visiting often. Like I have said from day 1 living here“Just because you live in a small town, doesn’t mean you have to dress like it!”
